Elemental Friends

In the still of the night

While we’re all sleeping sound.

There is magic happening

Everywhere, all around.

The fairies and elves

Come out to play

Then they all start to hide

As light brings in day.

They bring magic to life

And joy to us all.

If we ask them to help

They will answer the call.

Help with our gardens

To make our plants grow.

assisting our creations,

Helping ideas to flow.

But beware the little pixie

if you don’t acknowledge him

He will take things and hide them

If just on a whim

One minute it’s there

Then gone in a flash

Oh! where did I put that

You think of your stash.

I’m sure it was here

I saw it last night

I’m not going mad.

But it’s now out of sight.

Then as quick as a wink

It appears once again.

Right there on the table

Back where it began.

Continue he will

Each day of the week

Until you allow him to share

His skills that you seek.
